A full-day mountain adventure from Imlil that combines a climb over a high Atlas pass with a descent through forests and hamlets to reach the dramatic, little-visited Tamsoult waterfalls, one of the highest cascades in the range.

Join fellow adventurers on this moderate to challenging journey through the timeless High Atlas – where every step uncovers Berber heritage and breathtaking vistas. Limited to 12 guests for an intimate experience.

Tour Highlights

Full-day 8-hour trek linking Imlil with the remote Tamsoult waterfalls via a high mountain pass.
Panoramic ascent from Imlil through orchards and Berber hamlets like Tanghourt, Fimlil, and M’Zik with sweeping valley views.
Traverse of classic High Atlas scenery including juniper and pine forests and rugged rock formations.
Arrival at Tamsoult waterfalls (around 2,200–2,300m), among the highest falls in the Atlas with a drop of about 100m.
Opportunity to picnic and, in warmer months, paddle or bathe in the pools beneath the cascade.
Immersive encounters with Berber shepherds and seasonal transhumance communities using high pastures in summer.

What to Pack

  • Good hiking boots or sturdy trail shoes suitable for steep and sometimes loose terrain.
  • Comfortable layered clothing to adapt to cool mornings and warmer midday temperatures at altitude.
  • Waterproof or windproof jacket, especially in shoulder seasons or if showers are forecast.
  • Sun protection including hat, sunglasses, and high-factor sunscreen.
  • At least 1.5–2L of water per person plus energy snacks if desired.
  • Swimwear or quick-dry shorts and a small towel in warmer months for a dip near the falls.
