What to Pack

• Sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes with good grip; the trail is steep and can be loose in places.
• Breathable layered clothing suitable for changing mountain temperatures.
• Windproof/waterproof jacket, especially in cooler or unsettled seasons.
• Sun hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen; the pass is exposed with little shade.
• 1.5–2L of water per person plus light snacks or energy bars.
• Trekking poles for support on the steep ascent and descent (recommended but optional).
• Small daypack for layers, camera, and personal items.
