An overnight trek adds sleeping arrangements, spare clothing and another walking day. First establish what you will carry and what is supplied.
Choose an overnight format
A guesthouse, refuge and tent need different packing plans. Confirm bedding, meals, toilets and luggage arrangements. Supported trekking does not automatically mean every bag is transported or that all equipment is provided.
Practise a second morning
Try manageable walks on consecutive days. Check whether your boots still feel comfortable and whether your pack rubs tired shoulders. Protect the dry clothing you will want after walking and keep unnecessary changes of clothes to a minimum.
Keep the first trip manageable
Ask for daily stages and an alternative if someone needs a shorter second day. The two-day village stay is an option to discuss with Atlas Hikes. Confirm its current route and accommodation before deciding that it matches your experience and preferred comfort.
