Video needs time and power
A few deliberate clips can tell a clearer story than continuous filming. Record from stable stopping places. Do not walk backwards for a shot or ask someone to repeat a difficult section. Download your recording tools and check batteries and storage before departure.
A notebook captures different details
Write what you learned, questions you want to ask and how the day felt. Check place names with your host or guide. Mark uncertain information as a question rather than turning it into an authoritative caption.
Agree permission and pace
Ask before recording guides, hosts or other travellers. Permission for a photograph does not automatically cover advertising use.
