Your camera should be reachable without upsetting balance. Test the carrying system on a familiar walk before taking it into the Atlas.
Keep the load deliberate
Start with your most-used lens and justify each extra item. A chest attachment or padded insert can work, but check how it interacts with the pack belt. Avoid straps that swing when stepping down.
Rehearse a full photo stop
Practise stopping, securing poles, taking a picture and stowing the camera before moving. Keep caps and batteries in consistent places. Do not change lenses while walking or grab a dangling camera for support.
Budget time too
