A successful group trek starts with an honest picture of the whole group. The strongest walker should not be the only person shaping the itinerary, and the person collecting payments should not have to guess what everyone has booked.
Collect the information that affects the route
Ask each traveller about recent walking experience, desired pace and any practical limitations they want the guide to consider. Establish whether the main goal is a summit, village stays, photography or time together outdoors.
Share dates and arrival arrangements early. If people arrive on different flights, clarify whether you need one transfer or several. Avoid using the first morning to resolve these details.
Agree the type of booking
Ask whether the trek will be private or shared with other travellers. Confirm the guide arrangement and the maximum group size for the proposed itinerary. If abilities differ substantially, ask about appropriate alternatives rather than assuming the guide can split the group spontaneously.
The three-day village circuit and Toubkal ascent serve different expectations. Read the difficulty guide before choosing the summit option.
Put the money and rooms in writing
Request a total quote with per-person pricing, minimum numbers, room arrangements and inclusions. Ask what happens to the price if someone cancels. Check payment deadlines and cancellation terms before collecting money from friends.
Record dietary requirements separately and communicate them before meals are arranged. Share the final itinerary with everyone, not only the organiser.
Make one complete inquiry
Send Atlas Hikes your approximate group size, dates, preferred trip and a summary of walking abilities through the contact page. Ask for unresolved items to be made explicit before the group commits.
